Please check the left sidebar for any updated special/holiday hours throughout the year.
*Please note that the Waupaca Area Genealogical Society staffs the building on Wednesdays. This is a great time to stop in with any family history research questions!

The Holly Center can also open by special appointment at other times if arranged ahead of your visit. If you are traveling to Waupaca from out of town, we recommend that you call at least two weeks before your visit to set up an appointment.


Historic Waupaca Depot, 525 Oak Street

Summer Hours  (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend)

Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, 12-5 p.m.

Hutchinson House and King Cottage (in South Park, South Main Street)

Summer Hours  (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend)

Second and Third Weekends of June, July and August, 1-4 p.m. (CLOSED FATHER'S DAY)

What's Happening at the Waupaca Historical Society!
(all programs are at the Holly History and Genealogy Center unless otherwise noted)


  • Sat., May 18, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Family Fun Day at the Depot (with the Waupaca Area Public Library)
  • Hutchinson House Museum and Depot OPEN for the summer (Memorial Day through Labor Day)! Hutchinson House Museum is open Saturdays and Sundays, 1-4 p.m. The Depot is open Saturdays and Sundays, 12-5 p.m.
  • Sat., June 22, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Lost Arts at the Hutchinson House Museum (demonstrators, tours of the Hutchinson House, children's activities, and food for purchase)
